Seydisfjordur, Iceland. Fall 2023.
Programa de doce semanas que consiste en una mezcla de semanas de talleres ofrecidas por artistas invitados y semanas enfocadas en el desarrollo de praxis individual y colectiva a través de experimentación, conversación y reflexión. El programa es también una exploración continua sobre lo que un programa de arte puede ser, y todos los participantes son parte de darle forma, moldear, disturbar y mantener esta conversación -y el programa mismo (Lunga, 2023).
Twelve-week Art program consisting of a mix of workshop weeks hosted by guest artists and weeks focused on developing both individual and collective praxis through experimentation, conversation and reflection. The program is also an ongoing exploration of what an arts program can be, and all participants are part of shaping, molding, disturbing and maintaining this conversation – and the program itself (Lunga, 2023).
Virgen del Fiordo / Virgin of the Fjord

Las formas bordadas en los manteles capturan cualidades de los patrones de la Tierra expresados principlamente a través de los estados y el movimiento del agua. Traducir estas cualidades sobre estos mantos y ofrecerlos en regreso como altares para ofrendar a la Tierra, exaltan una conciencia sobre la vitalidad animada y el lenguaje que la Tierra evoca para que la percibamos. La Virgen del Fiordo es una interpretación del amor que emana para la Tierra a través de esta comunicación y este gesto relacional.
The forms embroidered on the mantles capture qualities of the patterns of the land expressed mainly through water states and movement. Translating these qualities unto mantles and purposing them back as altars for offering to the land, brings to consciousness the aliveness and the languge that the land evokes for us to perceive. The Virgin of the Fjord is an interpretation of the love that emanated towards the land through this relational communciation and gesture.

The Fjörd Tarot: Guidance for Coexistence in Sey
One week workshop with artist Marina Monsonis to come into relation with Seydisfjord. The result is a local Tarot that carries the archetypical qualities of Seydisfjordur.
