Soy Diana. Nací en Colombia y vivo entre Colombia y Alemania. Tengo una formación amplia, con estudios en biología y cocina, un máster en antropología gastronómica, y experiencia como investigadora y exploradora en paisajes bio -culturales alrededor de prácticas gastronómicas y ecología espiritual. Adicionalmente, tengo una práctica que teje estos temas -la forma en que nos relacionamos con la vida y la Tierra de forma íntima.
Mi expresión artística toma forma a través de ilustraciones que capturan gestos íntimos de cuidado y reciprocidad, y el desenvolvimiento de lo que está vivo; bordado de mantos ceremoniales que llevan patrones presentes en los lugares, y a través de acoger a la gente alrededor del alimento, intervenciones en el paisaje y ofrendas a la Tierra.

I am Diana Pizano, born in Colombia and living between Colombia and Germany. I have a wide background with studies in both biology and cooking, a master degree in food anthropology, and experience in researching and exploring bio -cultural heritage around food practices and spiritual ecology. Additionally I have a practice that weaves these themes together -the way we relate to Life and to Earth in intimate ways.
My artistic expression takes shape through in illustrations that capture intimate gestures of care and reciprocity, and the unfolding of what is alive; embroidery of ceremonial mantles that carry patterns of relationship to place, and bringing people together around food, landscape interventions and offerings to the land.
My latest explorations revolve around practices of engagement with subtle dimensions of the Earth and landscaping.
